Description

Meant to be Sci-Fi themed wallpaper originally but turned into something different. oops.

As a result, I will switch an order of wallpaper genre a bit and make this into "People" category based on a poll I created before.

This wallpaper pack is available for download in two sizes for personal usage only.

1920X1200 pixel
1600X1200 pixel

This took me nearly a month since I worked on this between other two wallpapers and...

the file was so big that I couldn't work on it fast←major reason

Bigger the better! :dummy: turned out to be ugh...

I did two previous 13 hours rendering before this final 3D CG took 24hours 51min 31sec to render (it actually took two days since someone closed my laptop for ~13 hours :O- luckily it started rendering again when I opened the laptop) with global illumination with details and sampling made into max quality. 3D CG I used for background was 211.1 MB Tiff file with 10000X7500 pixel size that took me ~10 min to save each time for 350 MB PSD file illustration.

I did line art in Comic Studio since I didn't have IllustStudio then, did a bit of facial skin and basic coloring for hair in IllustStudio, and did the rest (most part) with Photoshop since the file got too big to work in IllustStudio.

Cinema 4D R11 studio
Comic Studio Ex 4
IllustStudio 1.0.10
Photoshop CS3
~1 month

*Print version is available with 10000X7500 pixel, 600 dpi

*12/18/09 earphone cord, right sleeve, left shoulder line, a few more here and there, and hair fixed. I guess submitting it close to 1 am was a bad idea.

I favorited this a while ago, but now that i see it again, im wondering if you have any tutorials or anything like that. It's so... i dont know. It has a layer of fantastical over the realism in your style, could you somehow.. teach that? is that possible? I know i could never tell people how i do anything...
