Description
My first collaboration work of my lifetime!!!
Three CG models were created by awesome , and I planned the layout and drew the rest
I made it crazy looking as I can.
k3 designed his models in the way that it's easier to combine his 3D model and my 2D drawings However, it was still hard to combine and did my best to make it look ok
Due to technical difficulties in combining 3D and 2D, I flipped k3's previous work, [link] , upside down, got the outline and drew in the shadows and random shapes. That turned into the root at the bottom of this illustration.
I made the cloth behind the character to look like wings, and I incorporated trails that clouds make - which I noticed while I was on the airplane the other day.
I finished most of the drawing yesterday- while trying to get over the jetlag. So... I spent a day doing root and got into the middle of thunderstorm when I finished
Gaaah! Just when I thought I managed to sneak out between the storm.
While I was working on this, the 3D model on top left that k3 did started looking like an angler fish so I added light to it as a joke
This composition is actually out of eleven ideas I suggested to You can see this illustration's original outline near the bottom of my blog entry:

(sorry, it's in Japanese)
I was planning to draw a cute character at the beginning but since it wouldn't match with SF, I made the character to look a bit naughty looking
Softwares used:
Comic Studio Pro 3.0 (1200 dpi, B4 size, from rough draft to the final product)
Adobe Photoshop CS2 (RGB -> Grey scale, compression)
3dsMAX
PhotoshopCS3
Time it took:
11~12 days (but the actual drawings took a couple of days~ 1 week)
*It's downloadable with 2118X3000 pixel dimension
2/19/2009+4/30/2009
I would like to thank
